Chamarajanagar: A bizarre horn growing out of a woman’s head was successfully removed through surgery on Thursday, March 31.
The condition of the woman is said to be stable.

Madamma, a Soliga woman from Hosapodu was suffering from a rare condition in which she had developed a horn on the head.

The district Scheduled Tribes Welfare department came forward to help the poor woman and hence she was admitted to District hospital in Chamarajanagar.

A team of doctors successfully separated the horn in few hours of operation.

All the medical expenses have been borne by the department.

All these years, due to poverty she was not able to get treatment. The woman used to suffer from terrible headache when the horn was on her head.

The woman, after the successful surgery has been shifted to the ward and is said to be recovering.
