Mysuru: Actor Darshan paid a low profile visit to Chamundi hill and offered special prayers to Goddess Chamundi, at the hilltop temple on the last Ashada Friday.
Darshan, an ardent devotee of Goddess Chamundeshwari pays a visit to the temple during the first and last Friday of Ashad and since July 29 was the last Friday of Ashada month, the actor was seen at the temple. He then accepted flowers from principal priest of the temple as ‘prasadam’ and left the temple.

Large number of devotees thronged the temple on July 29. At about 3.30 am, Goddess Chamundi was offered ‘abhisheka’ and other religious rituals and the temple was opened for devotees at about 5.30 am. The temple will be open till 10.30 pm on Friday, July 29 and special floral embellishments would be done on the idol of the deity.
