Mysuru: City CCB police sleuths have arrested 9 notorious thieves in a special operation which has been carried out from the past month and have recovered valuables worth Rs 29,90,000.
The arrested are identified as Sayyad Wasim (28), Fayaz (32), Mohammad Rafi (30), Mashad Ahmad (24), Sayyad Alim (24), Mohammad Munna (28), Ummar (23), Ravi (22) from BM Shree Nagar and Kiran Kumar (20).

Gold weighing 795 grams, 3kg silver, 2 lakh cash and 7 mobile phones have been recovered. Also, a Karizma bike used for theft has been seized.

Sleuths have also seized five bikes (2 pulsar and 3 fashion Pro) from Sayyad Irfan (29), a notorious thief belonging to Mandi Mohalla.
