Cauvery injustice: Mysuru Mayor decides to tender resignation

Mysuru: Due to Supreme Court judgment which went against Karnataka and ordered Karnataka to release 12,000 cusecs of water from Cauvery basin till September 20, owing injustice to Karnataka, BL Bhyrappa, Mayor of Mysuru has decided to tender resignation soon after he comes from Netherland on September 16. He is the only politician who has come forward to resign due to injustice meted to people of Karnataka.
Will provide khata if Royal Family submits at least one document: Mayor Bhyrappa-1BL Bhyrappa, got elected from ward no 12 for a consecutive term. In the election for Mayoral post on November 14, 2015, Bhyrappa JD (S) nominee, secured 41 votes while lone rival D Nagabhushan representing congress got 33 votes. Since he took over as Mayor, he is very straight forward and took corporation commissioners to task for couple of times.

Bhyrappa who is upset with Supreme Court judgment, which went against the people of Karnataka decided to tender resignation. Since September 8, he is attending Mayors conference in Netherland. Soon after he came to know about the setback to Karnataka by Supreme Court in cauvery water issue, he has sent a message that he will tender resignation on September 16, soon after coming from Netherland.

Bhyrappa, 56, a B.Com graduate from the University of Mysore, is an alumnus of D?Banumaiah’s?College. He is a?native of Lakshmipura, near Saligrama in K?R?Nagar taluk in the district.
