Mysuru: A case has been registered at Udayagiri police station against a person named Jabivulla for allegedly assaulting his sister who objected to a child marriage in the family. Nageen Taj is the victim of assault.

Udayagiri resident Jabivulla had held talks in connection with his 14-year-old daughter’s wedding. When his sister Nageen learnt about it, she went to his residence and asked him to not go ahead with the marriage. She also took the minor girl to her house.

Enraged with these developments, Jabivulla, citing that lot of money has already been spent over the wedding, demanded the money from his sister.

When she resisted, he allegedly attacked her with an iron rod. She is now undergoing treatment at undergoing treatment at K R Hospital.

She has filed a complaint against her own brother and has sought justice for her and the minor.
