Mysuru: The Srirangapattana police arrested Bombay Saleem and six others including two women in the town on Tuesday night. The gang was involved in honey trapping the gullible people to meet their criminal purposes.

Saleem was also wanted by Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Telangana police. Based on an information about a gang staying in the forest area near Srinrangapattana, the police raided the area and pounced on the gang of seven. The police confiscated lethal weapons from the accused. The two women gang members are identified as Prema and Khushi. Khushi is said to be a resident of Mysuru.

Saleem was wanted by the police in over 50 cases of robbery and honey trapping registered against him. The girls of the gang were befriending the target and were shooting explicit visuals with them. Later, they blackmailed the target for money with the video. One such case was registered in Srirangapattana, a month ago.

From the accused police have also recovered four cars, one gun, 18 bullets, six daggers, chilli powder, pepper powder and spray from the gang. The gang was presented before the Srirangapattana court. Srirangapattana Police have registered a case and are investigating.
