Cauvery River is the lifeline for both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, which has carved islands and beautiful waterfalls through its flow.  The waterfalls at Barachukki and Gaganachukki that is located in Shivanasamudra are significant in attracting tourists especially during the peak monsoon.
