Mysore : An autorickshaw driver died on the spot  in a head-on collision between his autorickshaw and a KSRTC bus  near the Fivelights Circle in the city on Tuesday May 27.

The deceased autorickshaw driver is Firzan (48). An eyewitness Iqbal Ahmed said the autorickshaw was moving on the right direction but the KSRTC bus driver had resorted to reckless driving resulting in the mishap.

Protest by FGPI : Meanwhile, activists of the FGPI organisation resorted to a flash protest in front of the KR Hospital and demanded compensation to the family of the deceased autorickshaw driver. They also urged that a government job be provided to one member of the family of the deceased.

The family members of the deceased driver who were present in the hospital were inconsolable. A case has been registered in Lashker police station.
