Mysuru: In a brisk operation, the city police cracked a theft case within four days.
It may be recalled that Rs 4, 40,000 was stolen from a vehicle belonging to one Abdul Nasser parked near Ramvilas Road. Acting swiftly, the police nabbed Naufal and Babu Lawrence, both from Tamil Nadu in connection to the case. A sum of Rs 4,34,000 has been recovered from them. Naufal has been identified as a relative of Abdul Nasser, the victim from whom the cash was stolen. The theft was a pre-planned by both Nauful and Lawrence. The theft was reported on November 2.
The investigation team was headed by Devaraja police station inspector S Nagesh, PSI Lepaksha K, constables Shadakshari, Prakash K S, Praveen Kumar, Manjunath Umesh under the guidance of DCP N Rudramuni and ACP Rajshekhar.
