Mysuru: A group of engineering students accompanied by a juvenile, who made the life miserable for a delivery staff member from Amazon were nabbed by the police on February 23.
Sanath (20) of Vidyavardhaka Engineering College, O S Khan (19) from civil engineering division of Vidya Vikas college, Ismail Khan (19) , a resident of Lashkar Mohalla, Sayyed Saif (19) and a 16-year-old Juvenile were nabbed by the police a month after the incident.
Sanath accompanied by his friends had asked the staff member from Amazon to deliver an item at an isolated place in Manasi Nagar in the city, after booking the same online. When the man arrived to deliver, the group of students smeared chilli powder on his eyes and body and decamped with the head phone costing Rs 20,000.
The incident had taken place on January 15 and a case was registered at Mysore South rural police station later.
Police have remanded the accused to judicial custody and have sent the minor to the juvenile home in the city.
