Mysuru: A day after his wedding, a 30-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at his friend’s residence here on Thursday. The incident came to light on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Nadaiah Matapathi, son of Veeranna Matapati and a native of Ranebennur in Haveri district. Nadaaiah who was working as a conductor at BMTC in Bengaluru was in love with Kavyashree of Paduvarahalli, Mysuru since 2009. As both the parents were against their relationship, the duo after more than seven years of love, decided to get married at Venkateshwara Temple in Vontikoppal on Wednesday. After the marriage, Nadaiah and Kavyashree stayed at a friend’s house in Navodaya Layout. To everyone’s surprise, on Thursday, when Kavyashree went to take bath, Nadaiah committed suicide by hanging from ceiling fan.
