Package tour to Tirupati: KSRTC signs MoU with APTDC

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) to operate package tours from Bengaluru to Tirupati.

The MoU was signed by S.R Umashankar, Managing Director, KSRTC and Himanshu Shukla, Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. BNS Reddy, Director (S&V), KSRTC, K.S Vishwanth General Manager (Traffic), KSRTC, G. Ramakrishna, General Manager (Transport) APSTDC were present on the occasion.

It is planned to commence this package tour from May 12. This package tour includes travel by Airavat Multi Axle Bus, Fresh up at hotel, breakfast, lunch, sheegra darshan (quick darshan) at Tirumala and transit between Tirupati–Tirumala. The bus will be departing from Bengaluru on 10 pm and return to Bengaluru next day at 8 pm.

The fare will be Rs 2000 in week days (Rs 2,500 on Friday and Saturday) per adult and for child (six to 12 years) Rs 1700 in week days and Rs 2000 on Friday and Saturday.

The travelling public can book this tourist package through KSRTC booking counters, authorized booking counters, Online and Mobile booking, 30 days in advance. Travelling public is requested to avail this facility. Further, the KSRTC has planned to introduce package tour to other tourist / pilgrimage places in near future.
