2-day ABAI Fest opens in Mysore

Mysore : The State Government has initiated several measures to develop Karnataka into a global centre in the IT sector, said Srivatsa Krishna,  Secretary of the IT, BT Department.

He  was  speaking after inaugurating the Two-day ABAI Fest, an  Animation Effects and Digital Gaming Expo organised at Mysore University-Manasa Gangotri for the very first time in joint collaboration with the state Government and ABAI.

Feature films which have incorporated the best animation technology, short films etc will be screened during the event, Srivatsa said adding   Hollywood films and other films which have the best animation and digital technologies will be screened.
Kannada film director TS Nagabharana who also spoke, appreciated the organisers of the event.

Prof. KS Rangappa, Vice Chancellor of Mysore University, in his address there were plans to start an animation course in Mysore University.

Biren Ghosh, President of ABAI and  National Chief of Technicolor India, Ron Dymond, Animation artist and Shely Page of the I-Candy  were  present on the occasion.
