18th century inscription found in Hadya Village

Mysuru: A 18th century inscription has been found in Hadya village K R Nagar Taluk.  Sanath Kumar,  pursing his Phd  under the guidance of  Dr G Karippa Department of Ancient History Manasa Gangothri found this inscription at the home of HV Jagadeesh while pursuing his research for the Doctorate Degree. H V Jagadeesh  takes care of the  Veerabhadreshwara Temple in the same village.

According to the inscription the bronze idol is likely from the time of  of Krishnaraja Wadeyar 3 (1751).

Speaking to NK the young scholar said there are many inscriptions which we have discovered and preserve which can be help our generation to know about our history.

“We can get more information about our History from the major temples that can be found  in Tamil Nadu and old Mysuru area, with proper research”. The Government is spending money on building new temples but has failed to preserve the ancient temples, he added
