Shivamogga: ’15 percent changes expected in Textbooks’

Shivamogga: We have already mentioned about revising the textbooks. So we will revise it., said Minister Madhu Bangarappa.

The state government will soon take a decision in this regard during the hearing of land title deeds for Sharavathi river victims.

Speaking at a press conference after the Zilla Panchayath meeting in Shimoga, Minister Madhu Bangarappa said that a proposal will be sent to the Centre on behalf of the victims. Before that, the supreme court’s permission should be obtained,” he said.
Teachers in rural areas should take the decision to work. there is a view that there is no guest teachers in rural areas but give permanent teachers. There are no teachers in 136 schools in the district. Action will be taken in this regard first, he said.

I issued a notification for the transfer of school teachers immediately after I became a minister. The transfer of teachers from Hyderabad Karnataka will also be done through counselling, he added.
The education department has a demand of Rs 10 crore and one crore has already been given. “We will inquire into the corruption in the ‘Jal Jeevan’ Mission project. He said that the shortage of teachers will be addressed and appointed so that the education of children is not disturbed.

We have already mentioned in the manifesto about revising the textbooks. So we will revise it. CM Siddaramaiah has already said that he will revise it. We will carry out the revision so that the children do not suffer,” he said.
A textbook revision committee for 2024 will be set up under the chairmanship of the CM. There is a 15 per cent change. We are already working on that. Some words need to be removed. He said there are certain elements in the minds of children that sow seeds of poison which need to be removed.
