10-month-old moved from Shivamogga to B’luru hospital in ‘zero traffic’

Shivamogga: A 10-month-old child suffering from a heart condition was moved from McGANN Teaching District Hospital, Shivamogga to Jayadeva Hospital in Bengaluru through ‘Zero Traffic’ on Monday, February 10.

The ‘Zero Traffic’ of ‘Green Corridor’ facility was jointly organized by the doctors of McGANN Hospital and the Doddapete Police. Their efforts have been appreciated by the public.

According to reports, the infant, born to Sudha and Swamy of Davangere district’s Chennagiri town, has a congenital heart condition, and according to the doctors, the life expectancy of the child was very low.

Dr Raghunandan, District Surgeon of McGANN Hospital said, “It was not possible for us to help the infant survive only through treatments. Surgery was required, for which, today at 8.45 am with the help of police escort, we took the infant to Jayadeva Hospital for advanced treatment and surgery.”

Meanwhile, the ambulance driver, Saddam Hussain was lauded for reaching on time.

It can be recalled that recently, a 40-day-old infant was taken from the Father Muller Hospital, Mangaluru to Jayadeva Hospital for a similar ailment. The ambulance driver Haneef was lauded for his time sense.
