Chikkamagaluru: “I have directed police department to take stern action against those involved in moral policing in the district as well as across the state,” said Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara after hoisting the flag at Chikkamagaluru district stadium on Monday.
Parameshwara who is the district-in-charge minister said that the government’s purpose is to ensure peace among all and that it will never initiate unnecessary action against anyone. However, having said that, the Home Minister said that the ones resorting to anti-national activities will not be spared.
Reacting to anti-India slogans raised at a programme organised at Theosophical college in Bengaluru, he said, “I condemn the anti-India slogans raised during the programme ‘Broken Families’. I have directed the police department to take necessary action against those who are involved. The permission was granted to organise for only an hour but they exceeded the time limit. The matter has come to my notice. “
“Kashmiri pandits who are residing in Bengaluru and Kashmiri students indulged into verbal fight and anti-slogans were raised.” he explained.
All the accused in DySP Kallappa Handibag case have been arrested and two are absconding who will be nabbed soon. A special team has been formed for this purpose,” added.
Commenting on atrocities against Dalits, he said, “Assault on Dalits is condemnable and non one should politicise the issue.”
