Handibhag case: Prime accused in CID custody for 10 days

Chikkamagaluru: Praven Khandya, prime accused in Tejas Gowda abduction and DySP Kallappa Handibhag suicide case has been sent to CID custody for the period of ten days.

It may be recalled that a businessman named Tejas Gowda was abducted on June 27, 2016 and on July 5, DySP Kallappa Handibhag ended life after his named was linked to the abduction case. Praveen Khandya had gone missing soon after Handibhag’s suicide.

On Friday, January 6 the JMFC Court forwarded him to CID custody for probe into the Gowda/Handibhag case. He will be in CID custody till January 16.
