Kadur: Former chief minister and Chairman of Government-alliance Coordination Committee Siddaramaiah has termed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Hassan Lok Sabha candidate A Manju a “Traitor”, here on Thursday, April 11.
Addressing a rally for the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate of Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, Prajwal Revanna, he said that he knew that Manju would betray the party one or the other day.
He said, “We had negotiated and helped him find a solution when he was in complete distress. He used to adhere to all our orders and decisions and used to positively respond. We had given him state ministry too.”
“He had promised us that he would never leave Congress but now he has betrayed the party and joined BJP”, he added.
He requested the voters not to vote for A Manju who had sidelined the principles of one political party and joined the other.
Slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi on employment opportunities for youth, he said, “If Modi wins yet again, definitely the democracy and Constitution of this country will be demolished. He acts like dictator Adolf Hitler. When the youth of this country ask him for employment opportunities, he asks them to sell pakodas. What can you expect from such a leader?”
Siddaramaiah blasts a person, threatens to slap him
Meanwhile, one person from the audience asked Siddramaiah why had he not participated in the 2018 Assembly election campaigning for Kadur Congress candidate K S Anand.
Enraged by this, Siddaramaiah said, “Can’t you keep your mouth shut? I will give you a tight slap, if you don’t keep quiet.”
Later, he answered the person and said, “You fool, did you give the ticket to Anand? It was just that I was busy and couldn’t make it for to his campaigning.”
