Raichur: It is common to break the lock of a hundi and steal money. However, in a bizarre incident, the robbers broke the lock of the temple atop the hill and took away the hundi. The incident took place late night on Monday December 19 at Sri Siddalingeshwara Swamy Temple in Mansalapura Taluk.

It is suspected that at least five to six people were involved in the crime. The fair was held a few days ago and lakhs of rupees were collected in the hundi. The villagers had discussed about counting the hundi money too. By then, the incident has taken place.

Though people were also sleeping in the temple premises they could not get to know. The villagers said that they may have taken the vehicle towards the hill and committed the crime.
