Koppal: In a harrowing incident, police in Koppal have apprehended three individuals on charges of kidnapping and gang raping a college student from Ballari. The victim, a young woman pursuing a B.Com degree, was lured away from her college campus under false pretenses, leading to a nightmarish experience.
The troubling ordeal began when the student left her college briefly, in response to a message claiming that her brother was waiting outside. Tragically, this message turned out to be a deceit, and the unsuspecting student was reportedly abducted by four individuals in an auto-rickshaw.
The perpetrators transported the victim to the Antara Cafe Hotel near Sanapura in the Koppal district. There, in a deeply distressing turn of events, the victim allegedly endured sexual assault by four individuals, including someone she had considered a friend. Alcohol is said to have been involved in the chain of events that led to this heinous act.
Shaken by this traumatic experience, the victim promptly filed a complaint at the Bellary Women’s Police Station, identifying the alleged assailants as Naveen, Saqib, and Tanu, all hailing from Kaul Bazar in Bellary city. The police responded swiftly, registering a case of rape and launching an investigation into this deeply disturbing incident.
