Bidar: Ahead of the general assembly elections, the police department, excise department and the Statistics Surveillance team are keeping a close watch on illegal liquor and money smuggling and 476.46 litres liquor worth Rs 35,434 from April 13 to 14 is Captured. The excise department has seized 327.84 litres of liquor worth Rs 1,50,551. A team of Central and Statistical Surveillance seized Rs 2,00,000 in cash. A total amount of Rs 3,85,985, which includes liquor and cash, has been seized, the deputy commissioner’s office said in a statement.
