Bidar: ‘Ambedkar’s teachings stand the test of time’

Bidar: Taluk Planning Officer Ratikant Nelege said that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s philosophy, which worked for the welfare of the oppressed class, is relevant to today’s life.

He was speaking at the birth anniversary function of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, at Vadgaon Dey village in the taluk. It is the duty of all to vote and citizens above 18 years of age must compulsorily vote. Your vote is the most precious, he said, raising awareness about voting. Ambedkar fought against inequality. He drafted a constitution in favour of the downtrodden and provided social justice to all, he said.

 

PDO Vinod Kumar Kulkarni said, “Ambedkar worked hard for the development of all sections of the society. He understood the philosophy and philosophy of Buddhism and embraced Buddhism. He said his followers should walk the path of non-violence of Buddhism. PDO Vinod Kulkarni, Subhash gram panchayat members Rajkumar Hede, Ravi Ganga, Jaiwant, and village leaders Zareppa Singe, Sanju Chavan, Basavaraj Aganure, Raju Aganure, Naganath Aganure, Maruthi Arecanut, Tukaram Arecanut, Pundalika Areca nut, Raju Areca nut, Sanju Arekka, Ganapathy, Omkar Metre, Chandrakanta Nelage, Akash Chambale and others were present on the occasion.
