Bidar: Amit Shah to visit District on March 3

Bidar:Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu B. Chavan, who is also the District Convener of Vijay Sankalp Yatra, said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah, popularly known as ‘Chanakya of elections’, will arrive in Bidar District on Friday March 3 and launch the Vijay Sankalp Yatra at Anubhava Mantapa in Basavakalyan here.

He was addressing a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s District Office in the City on Sunday February 26. “On Friday at 11.00 am, Amit Shah will begin the ‘Vijay Sankalp Yatra’ at Anubhava Mantapa in Basavakalyan. Later, a huge public meeting will be held at Basaveshwara grozund at 12 noon. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa, Party State President Nalin Kumar Kateel, Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, Ministers Sriramulu and Halappa Achar are among the prominent leaders of the State who are expected to attend the event. All the leaders of the District will participate. Around 50,000 people will attend the event,” he said.

“The Vijay Sankalp Yatra will then travel across the District under the leadership of prominent leaders of the State. He will arrive at Humanabad at 2.00 pm, where a massive roadshow will be held and a public meeting will be held at Basaveshwara Circle in Bhalki at 5.00 pm. The yatra will arrive in Aurad (B) Assembly constituency on March 4 and there also a massive roadshow from Vadgaon at 10.00 am, Santpur at 10.30 am and from APMC Circle to Bus Stand in Aurad (B) Town at 11.00 am. At 12.30 pm special poojas will be offered to the deity Sri Amareshwar Temple in Aurad Taluk,” he said.

“A massive roadshow will be held in Bidar City at 3.00 pm. The yatra will run from Rotary Circle in the City to Bommagondeshwara Circle via major routes. In Bidar South Assembly Constituency, he will hold a roadshow at Kamatana at 4.00 pm, Bagadal at 4.15 pm, Mannaekhkhelli at 4.30 pm and perform special poojas at Sri Veerabhadreswara Temple at Sukshetra Changalera at 5.00 pm and proceed towards Chincholi in Kalaburagi District,” he informed.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set for the 2023 Assembly elections. The Party has already conducted various programmes such as booth empowerment, Booth Vijay Abhiyan, Vijay Sankalp Abhiyan, ans registration of members through missed call. As part of this, the Jan Sankalp Yatra has already been successful and the Vijay Sankalp Yatra will also be very successful,” he said.

He appealed to the Party workers and the general public to participate in large numbers and make the Vijay Sankalp Yatra a success.
