Kudligi: Kudligi DySp Anupama Shenoy returned to her Kudligi Police quarters at 4 am today with her brother Achyut Shenoy. According to sources, she will be meeting Ballari SP Chetan this afternoon in concern with the controversy.
Responding to the queries over the resignation tendered by Kudligi DySP Anupama Shenoy, Ballari SP Chethan Reddy said today that the letter would be sent to the police chief officers through IGP.

While explaining about the scenario that forced Anupama Shenoy to resign, SP Chethan Reddy said that Anupama had taken stern action against a wine shop godown that had been constructed next to Ambedkar Bhavan.

“When she took action against the wine store owner, his associates staged a protest against her,” he said.

Commenting on the liquor lobby Ballari DC Sameer Shukla said that the case will be investigated thoroughly which led to Anupama Shenoy’s resignation.

“I have asked the concerned departments to submit a report. It will take some time to investigate the issue. However, it is in process,” he added.

Responding to the liquor mafia, Labour Minister P T Parameshwar Naik said that there is drought in Kudligi and people can’t afford to buy liquor.

He refused to give any sort of clear statement regarding the same.

As per media, Anupama Shenoy was seen in Bhatkal on Tuesday night. Reportedly, she visited one of her relative with her mother and brother.

Moreover, Ballari police visited Anupama Shenoy’s home at Uchila, Padubidri. Two police officers from Ballari have inquired Anupama Shenoy’s mother Nalini Shenoy and brother Achyut Shenoy.

Anupama Shenoy’s mother Nalini Shenoy has said that, she has no idea about her daughter’s Facebook account and her posts. Whereas brother Achyut Shenoy said that her account might have been hacked.
