Hubballi: An orphan boy from Hubballi has left eyebrows raised with his achievement SSLC examinations. Ganganna Yellappa Badagi, a student of Hubballi City School has scored 80 per cent and has emerged topper in his school.

The obstacles in his life did not deter him from securing highest marks in his school.

Ganganna lost his parents at a very young age and hence he started living with his close relatives, who too passed away after a while. With no one to take care, he had to work as a labourer to sustain himself. This got him working under a farmer at Navalgunda and then in some hotels too.

While working as a labourer in a hotel, he was rescued by Labour Department and Woman and Child Welfare Department Officials, who rehabilitated him and helped him continue his education.

I am grateful to Mathrchaya Bala Kalyana Centre for supporting me, says Ganganna, who wants to become an engineer.

With his achievement, he has become a go-getter in true sense.
