Hubballi: State BJP chief BY Vijayendra has alleged that “love jihad” cases are increasing in the state and said that the state is heading towards the Kerala model in this issue, attributing it to the minority appeasement politics of the state government.

During an emergency press conference in Hubballi, BJP leaders alleged that a Muslim youth had forcibly sexually contacted a minor girl in Hubballi, branding it as a case of “love jihad.”

The young BJP leader also alleged that under CM Siddaramaiah’s rule, the law-and-order situation is deteriorating with each passing day. He expressed concern that a sense of confidence is growing among those who commit crimes against women and anti-nationals, believing that the Congress will protect them. He cited incidents such as hesitating to take strict action against accused individuals who raise pro-Pakistan slogans at Vidhana Soudha as further evidence of this confidence.

He expressed that there is fear among Hindu families and women due to the government’s attitude, and he emphasized that the people would teach them a lesson in the upcoming general election.

Vijayendra also clarified that they won’t support Prajwal Revanna, who is facing serious allegation of sexually abusing several women.

Former minister CT Ravi, also in the city, demanded Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to form an SIT to comprehensively investigate cases of “love jihad,” “vote jihad,” and “land jihad.”
