Mangaluru: Over 30 Airports across India, including Mangaluru International Airport (MIA), were received bomb threat on April 29. An email containing the threat was sent to more than 90 email addresses belonging to the targeted airports and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for airport security, according to the sources.
The source said that the email was received at 9:36 AM on April 29th, causing concern among authorities. Following established protocols, MIA immediately lodged a complaint with the Bajpe police station, which falls under their jurisdiction. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered by the police, and an investigation is underway.
Meanwhile security has been enhanced at the MIA, the police refused to reveal more information citing the sensitivity of the case.
