Udupi: Thieves rob gold worth over Rs. 2 Lakh

Udupi: Thieves broke into a house and stole gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees.

The thieves entered the house of Diwakar Poojary, a resident of Nehru Nagara in Moodualevoor, and stole an estimated 20 grams of earrings and chains kept inside the cupboard in the bedroom of the house, a gold chain weighing 20 grams, a gold ring weighing 4 grams, a gold chain weighing 8 grams and a nose ring weighing 2 grams.

The total estimated value of the stolen gold jewellery is Rs. 2,40,000. A case has been registered at Manipal Police Station.
