Udupi: The district known for its rich cultural and religious values, also popularly known as ‘Land of Lord Krishna’, has gradually become a den for illegal activities. Most recently, the police seized around 32 kgs of ganja and its by-products.

Reportedly, the Udupi Police, under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan, conducted raids on several places in the district. During these raids, the police found 32.8 kgs of ganja at the Nandikur Industrial Area.

Later, all of the seized ganja and its by-products were set on fire, after taking utmost precaution so that the gases don’t affect anyone.
