Mangaluru: Aditya Rao, who is the main accused in the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) bomb scare, was moved from a solitary cell to the barracks in the district jail on Tuesday, March 3.

It can be noted that, after being arrested and remanded to judicial custody, Aditya Rao had sought solitary confinement to avoid the other inmates. Later, he tested positive for Malaria and had to be moved to the prison ward of the Wenlock Hospital. A witness parade, which was scheduled on February 25, was also cancelled as he had tested positive for Malaria.

Sources from district jail informed that Aditya requested the authorities to shift him to the barracks from the solitary cell as he feared that he would be bedridden with Malaria again.

It can be recalled that MBA graduate Aditya Rao planted a bomb at MIA on January 20 and later, surrendered to the police in Bengaluru.
