Udupi: Three employees of Northwest Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation including two bus drivers and a conductor, who allegedly along with one more person gang-raped a 15-year-old girl inside a bus at Ranebennur have been suspended from their service on Tuesday July 11.
The suspension orders were issued by Haveri district divisional controller, V S Jagadish.
The trio – Raghun Badigera (35) of Ranebennur unit, Y C Kattekara (45), V R Hiremat (45) were arrested on July 9 after a complaint was registered by the minors’ parents at the Udupi town police station. The accused have been remanded to judicial custody for 15 days by the JMFC Udupi.
The incident had occurred on July 5 night when the accused allegedly sedated the girl and later gang-raped her inside the bus (KA 42 F 499) parked in the bus stand.
