Udupi: Dist level teacher’s day celebration committee udupi in association with G Shankar Family trust celebrated ‘Teachers Day-2014’ at Shamili Hall, Ambalpady on Friday, September 05.
Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake inaugurated the Teacher’s Day programme here on September 5. In his inaugural speech he said that generally it is believed that only students from English medium have a bright future, so Kannada medium schools are a big challenge in the state.
There are lots of vacancies for the post of teachers in the state; government soon will fulfil all the vacant posts he added.
He further said that 65% of the India population is youth and leading them to the right path and leading them to be a right citizen is the responsibility of a teacher.
Government and administration should provide teaching faculties so that they are satisfied to give standard education to the future generation. Transferring system of government teachers will be made more transparent.
For the first time state government has given – grand of sum of 40 Lac to MLA fund which will be used for fulfilling the vacant positions with temporary posts he added.
“As a district we are blessed with international standard education centers, once it was the dream of T A Pai”. “After seeing the interest of student in science exhibitions, soon there will be a World class science center at Udupi”.
On the occasion, Ganesh Karnik, Member of Legislative Council said that ‘Guru’ is a person, who can help us to know our God. Power of education is immense. Karnataka is a state with highly educated people.
