Shobha to prioritize development aspects in the district

Udupi: “A special committee will be formed to prioritize the development aspects of Udupi, DK and Chikmangalur”, said Shobha Karandlaje.

She was speaking at her office inaugural, Shobha Karlaje’s new office was inaugurated by the senior journalist, editor, author and former Chairman of Prasar Bharati Corporation,  MV Kamath  at District administration building on Monday, June 16.

After the inauguration, while addressing the press persons the MP said that the important issues of Karavali will be sorted out with priority bases. 

Karlaje highlighted the Kastoori Rangan report. She said that the report very well speaks and supports about preventing the environment, forest and animals. 

“The report analyzes the importance of human value and inclusion of locals and Gram Sabha’s opinion, a letter is been forwarded to the center with regards to the same, she added.

Apart from that she stated that as we have our own Central Minister for Railway, the expectation is high concerning to development aspects in the Railway sector. 

She alleged that the Southern India has always been neglected, due to development concerns. However a proposal has been forwarded demanding a separate Mangalore railway division.

She said that Kannada signage boards throughout the Karnataka should be maintained, to control the traffic, she also urged to double the Konkan line and introduce Garibrath  from Mangalore to Mumbai via Udupi.

Addressing the completion of NH work at the earliest, she said that step must be taken to stop the prohibition of arecanut. 

Necessary step will be taken to control the Sea Erosion in coastal areas. Break water and permanent wall will be constructed at the required areas, she added.

Finally while answering to a question, Shobha said UPCL stopped the production of power and spreading false statement that  state government failed to make necessary payment, but the truth is they have barred lose at Bihar and Chhattisgarh and they want Karnataka government to fulfill the loss. 

It is a Blackmail trick which is not going to work, she alleged.
