Udupi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Prashant Hartalkar held the (Hindu) parents mainly responsible for ‘Love Jihad’, here at the massive Hindu Samajotsava, organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Monday.

“Deprived by parental and family love, the girl succumbs to Love Jihad, which comes with lot of fake promises and hope by men belonging to another religion. Hence, all the Hindu parent should know about it. The family should teach values and culture of Hinduism to their children. It’s the need of the hour”, he said in his key address at the Hindu convention.

Besides, the VHP leader also held the Hindus accountable for cow slaughter. “If you do not sell the cow to a Muslim, from where will he find the cow to slaughter it?, he said asking the Hindus to stay united for the cause. “I had been to many foreign counties including Pakisthan. I was shell shocked to see the miserable life of Hindus there. They live as second grade citizens. They are least respected. But, the Muslims and Christians should be grateful towards Hindus in India. We have not treated them, as we are treated in other countries”, he said.

“We, Hindu do not need the support of minorities. Our saints have blessed us abundantly and we are self-sufficient”, he said giving example of Hindu Samajotsava, which he said is a replica of their strength.

In his short speech, he also took the Chief Minister Siddaramaih to task for banning VHP chief Praveen Togadia. “The CM should understand that the technology is so developed that Togadia’s speeches can be made available everywhere. Yesterday, Mr. Togadia made a speech in Jammu and Kashmir and its gone viral now”, he said ridiculing the congress led Karnataka government.

The VHP leader spoke about Vishwa Hindu Parishad. “It is a scientific organization. The organisation follows certain principles and discipline. We abide by rules and regulations. Our holy scripture Bagavad Gita is our guide”, he said and asked the Hindus to follow Hinduism. “If you follow dharma (religion), the dharma will protect you”, he told the massive crowd.

Swamiji calls for ‘unity among Hindus’

In his rather infuriated address, Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt spoke about corruption, conversion, terrorism, cow slaughter and untouchability. “These are the evils of society and we as Hindus should fight against it”, he said.

The Swamiji mainly held Muslims and Christians responsible for fostering terrorism and conversion in India. “The minorities have been secretly working against the Hindus. Their philosophy is to ruin Hinduism. We will not let it happen. If the Christians continue to convert, re-conversion will also continue”, he cautioned, adding the ‘Muslims should stop the act of terrorism. If not, the Hindus will teach them a lesson, he said.

He called upon the Hindu community to fight against all odds. “Let us stay together and no one can break us. We have to fight in unity. If the minorities attack us, let us fight back together”, he said.

“I m not against any Muslim or Christian, personally. But, I’m against their activities. We condemn terrorism and conversion, which the agenda of the minorities. Even the politicians do not support Hindus. They are after vote bank”, he said.

He mentioned that the government should pass legislation in support of Hindutva and its ideologies. “Why there are schemes and various government facilities only for minorities and not for Hindus”, he asked.

The swamiji also said that the government should follow Maharastra and implement ban on Cow Slaughter.

“Untouchability is a shame on Hinduism. There is should be equality within us, only then we can fight against other issues. It should be supported by all”, he pointed out.

‘Ram Mandir will be a reality soon’

Senior RSS leader Gopal Ji took Chief Minister Siddaramaih to task in his rather sarcastic speech. “The congress has a cheap mentality. They support those who say Pakisthan zindabad but not to those who die for the nation”, he said.

On the banning of VHP chief Praveen Togadia, he said that the congress can ban one Togadia. But, there are thousands of Togadia in the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. And not only you (Siddaramaih) but your amma (referring Sonia Gandhi) also cannot stop them”, he said.

He also criticized the educational institutions which are run by Christians in India. “The missionaries use these institutions to preach Christianity and for conversion. Do not send your children to those schools”, he said and complimented schools which are run by Hindus.

He also hoped that Ram mandir will be constructed at the earliest and all the plans are ready.
