Mangaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee has shot notices to every district Congress unit to organize protest demonstration opposing the much touted Land Acquisition Bill by Modi lead central government.

Addressing the presspersons, the newly chosen Mangaluru Urban Development Authority Chairman Ibrahim Kodijal said, “We have received words from KPCC in connection to protests against land bill.” He informed reporters that district unit would stage a protest on March 11, Wednesday in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office. The DK unit has informed all the block presidents of Congress to participate in the protest.
He further added that Congress party at national level had already marked its opposition inside and outside the parliament under the leadership of President Sonia Gandhi. Kodijal argued that the bill is not shaped in the interest of the farmers currently and Congress would allow the bill to be passed, had the BJP amend in the interests of farmers.
