Udupi: Pramod Mutalik, Sri Rama Sene chief strongly condemned the ban on Praveen Togadia, entering the district for the Hindu Virat Samajotsava which is scheduled in the District on March 9.

Speaking to  media persons, Mutalik said that this act of the administration, indicates a  violation of democracy and constitutionalism. Both the district administration and the police department with the government are trying to suppress the feelings of Hindus. However, it is high time for the congress government to understand that Hindu organizations will stand united against this act and successfully host the function.

Mutalik said that the intelligence department had failed to solve the menace during the Ganguly- Shimoga incident, which lead to violations. Despite prior information about the possibility of the clashes, state government has given  permission to the Popular Front of India, then why not us, he questioned.

He further said that the justification given for the  ban on entry of Togadia is a cowardly action; they have prohibited his entry on the basis of cases, which did not prove him guilty, which is not acceptable, he said.

He added that if there is anything wrong in the system they should sort it with efficiency instead running away from the problem.

Mutalik demanded that PFI should be banned in Karnataka like Kerala. He called Bhatkal a mini Pakistan. “Whenever violence is reported across the country, it is linked with Bhatkal. It has reported to be a hub of terrorism. Hindu organizing “Bhatkal Chalo” programme from Bengaluru to Bhatkal will be organized in April, he informed.

Ridiculing the BJP government for banning him against entering to Goa, Mutalik said Goa, is a cultural place but it’s been changing as hub for sex and drug mafia.

He appreciated the Maharashtra government’s move to ban cow slaughter and waving off the 5% reservation for Muslims too.
