Kundapur: In a shocking incident, a mother and daughter jumped into well and died in Navunda at Maski Village here on Saturday Evening on June 29.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Mother Nagaratna along with her daughter 3-year-old Trisha.

Nagaratna was a resident of Navunda in Maski village and livewd with her husband Mahesh Devadiga.

According to the sources, on Saturday after 5 pm, both mother and daughter went missing, the family members tried to search them but in vain. At around 10pm their bodies were found in the well used by their house.

The Byndoor police have registered a complaint and investigation is on. The police have speculated the death to be a case of suicide; however the reason is not yet.
