Manipal SI in soup after Navneeth Shetty sits on front seat of police jeep?

Udupi: If sources are to be believed then Manipal SI Girish, who was probing in to the sensational Bhasker Shetty murder case has landed in trouble after son of murdered businessman Bhasker Shetty and one of the accused in the case Navneeth Shetty was seen seated on front seat of the police jeep. The incident had occurred when the mother and son duo was being taken out of the district court recently.

The visuals stirred a sense of anger among the locals who had, from the beginning of the case been raising apprehensions over the case meeting its tragic end with the accused coming out clean making use of the money power.

As per rule, the front seat has to be used by the SI. No officer below that grade or the accused can be seated in this place. But shockingly, Girish did not object to what had happened and instead he had conveniently sat behind, next to Rajeshwari.

District in-charge Minister Pramodh Madhwaraj has reportedly forwarded the clipping of the same to IGP Arun Chakravarthy demanding action. It is said that the IGP is expected to take action against the said officer soon.
