Karkala: A man from Kerala who had stored explosives illegally in a rented house has been sentenced to six months in jail and imposed a fine of Rs 2000.

The judgement was announced by Karkala 2 Additional Civil Judge and JMFC Court.

Biju had stored the explosives in a rented house in Maithrinagar in Kukkunduru and a farm in Nandaru in Kaduhole.

The raid was carried out by Karkala rural station Sub-inspector B S Sathish and team. He was arrested by the police, registered a case and was produced before the court.
