Udupi: A dedicated Police Sub-Inspector from Kota Police Station, Kabbal Raj has resigned without informing his higher ups about the matter. He had left the resignation letter on his table before leaving without informing anyone.

Neither did his superiors nor his subordinates know about his resignation until one of the constables noticed the letter, read it and informed the higher ups in Udupi district police headquarters.

The locals described Kabbal Raj to be a man of honour. He had served in Koppal and Bantwal before he came to Kota police station in Kundapur. He is a 32 year old post graduate from Bengaluru who holds an MBA degree.

As per the locals, he has been under pressure since the past couple of weeks over some land issue. Superintendent of Police of Udupi District, K T Balakrishna said that he will ask Kabbal Raj to withdraw his resignation.

In his note, Kabbal had mentioned that he is resigning due to personal preference. Sources say that he has gone to B C Road to visit his wife who works there as a teacher.
