The Department of Civil Engineering of P A College of Engineering, Mangaluru celebrated Engineers Day on Thursday, 22 September to commemorate 156th birthday of great engineer Sir. M Visvesvaraya.

Chief Guest for the occasion was Arun Prabha K S, the CEO of Skycell towers and Infrastructures. Suraj Shetty, the Marketing Manager of Ramco cement and Devadas, a member of ACCE were present at the event.

The association of Civil Engineering students at PACE, ‘FORCE’ has several activities lined up for the academic year 2016-17. The activities were inaugurated by displaying the logo of the association for the year.

The inauguration was followed by a technical talk on “Parallel Constructions” by Arun Prabha. Dr. Palakshappa the HOD of Civil department spoke about the achievements of Sir. M Visvesvaraya. Principal of PACE Dr. Abdul Sharief motivated the students with his talk on importance and significance of Civil Engineering. Staff and students of Civil Engineering department also participated. Safa Mol compered the event.
