Udupi: Alumni of Manipal University- Dr Kumar Siddharth and M Yunus Tonse have developed India’s first teleapp for healthcare named ‘Hellodoc’, which enables people in Tier-II and III cities to consult doctors over phone.
The idea behind the app is to make healthcare accessible and affordable for people throughout the length and breadth of India.
The team, through efficient partnership with stakeholders in healthcare ecosystem, brings quality practitioners readily accessible for consultation and counselling on phone call and hospitals with tertiary level of care as partners for further referrals and in-person touch of a physician at these hospitals.
With unique services like “care on call” and “appointment on call”, we not only aim to bring awareness of timely consult by a healthcare professional but facilitate hassle free experience of the office visit for our users/customers, say the duo.
“For the same purpose hellodoc has tied up with Kasturba hospital, Manipal so that our callers can get the required attention of the experienced team of physicians at the hospital and get the needful done. With this objective of improving the overall health quotient of every individual, hellodoc is looking to join hands with the state Government to reach out to masses including those in remotest location through last mile reach programmes and home-care programmes and collaborating with NGO for the same,” they said.
Team is constantly building its core strength of healthcare professionals and is open to partnerships which can help us inch closer towards the larger goal. Hellodoc – dial toll free 1800 200 6359 for any medical help.
Hellodoc is currently operating in 3 states – Karnataka, Delhi and Bihar, with over 300 caregivers empanelled with it.
