Karkala : Freshers Day programme for the first year degree students of Dr Nitte Shanker Adyantaya Memorial First Grade College was held recently.

Speaking as a chief guest, Nagendra P Katkol, President of the Katkol Educational Institution of Haveri  exhorted the students to  engage themselves in academic activities with total involvement by making best use of the facilities available in the college.

Dr Veena B.K., Principal of the College, presided over the function.  Lecturers gave talks on various academic activities. Dr Sharada  Prabhu Venugopal, Dr Sudhir Raj, Jois Martis,  Dr Vaman Rao, Rajendra Bhat,  Lecturers of NMAMIT and   Gopalkrishna Bhat of Trisha Coaching Centre, Udupi, gave talks on personality development and career guidance.

Ramesh N, Student Welfare Officer welcomed the gathering. A variety of entertainment programmes and fun games were organised.
