Udupi: ‘Feeling of love towards others will lead to peace’, was the message given by Sri Krishna said Sri Veshvesa Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math stressing that peace will prevail in the world only by understanding others.
Speaking at the inaugural programme of ‘Shanthi Samagama’ organised by Rotary District 3182 of Zone 4 at Sri Krishna Math Rajanagana on Thursday, February 23 he said that in every religion or caste, if there is an understanding of others, it will lead to peace. Love like water is needed in a clean form, to spread peace. Various associations across the world, like Rotary International that has the ability to spread love and peace in the world, should do their bit to spread peace in the society
Nature is a part of our lives said Sri Sri Vishwaprasannha Theertha Swaiji exhorting the need for preserving a cleaner environment adding that further days may come when oxygen masks will be required for breathing. It is thus our responsibility to maintain a safe environment and we need to consider how best to co-exist with other living creatures as they are important contributors to the inter-dependent ecosystems of which we are a part and on which we depend for survival on this fragile planet.
Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Puttige Math said that in the present situation, the United Nations that was formed with the aim to maintain peace in world has become weak than governments of the world and we should strive to make it strong again to achieve this objective. There should be solid initiative to main peace else in the current arms race amongst different countries would lead us to a disastrous situation. Those who inhabit the earth, should recognize their responsibility for peaceful cohabitation that ultimately extends to every human being across all corners of the earth.
