Mangaluru: Mata Amritanandamayi fondly known as ‘Amma’ on Thursday exhorted that the day realization dawns on us that God has his presence in all living beings, inanimate objects we will start loving not just ourselves but our surrounding people too.
She was speaking at the Brahmastana Mahotsava Amritha Sangama 2017 here at Amrita Vidyalayam Grounds near Sulthan Bathery, Boloor, Mangaluru on February 23.which witnessed a huge gathering of her followers to seek her blessings.
On the occasion Amma distributed wheel chairs to the phyisically challenged, provided a scholarsip of Rs 1 lakh to 30 students and pension for the widows and senior ladies. Ayush Kit, to help physical and mental health of senior citizens, was given to 30 beneficiaries.
Amma also stressed on the need for value education to be imparted to the youth from a young age itself to overcome the several problems being faced by the world
District In-charge Minister Ramanath Rai, MLA J R Lobo, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mayor Harinath, former minister Krishna J Palemaar, Lokayukta Justice Vishwanath Shetty and others were present on the occasion.
