Udupi: The dead body of a youth, approximately aged around 30 years has been found hanging from a tree, on Thursday, May 2, in a desolated area of Parkala, Manibettu in Manipal.

The body is in a decomposed state and looks like the youth may have died about one week ago. The dead body has been shifted to the mortuary at the Disrict Hospital.

A case has been registered with the Manipal police. Social worker Nithyananda Olakadu assisted the police department to shift the body to the mortuary by providing a free ambulance service.

Family members or relatives of the dead youth who want to claim the body can contact the Public Assistance Center of Manipal Police Station, said the police.
