Udupi: A man was murdered in broad daylight at Cherkadi near Brahmavar on Wednesday, March 1. The deceased has been identified as Prakash (38).

It is said that there was an argument between Prakash and Prashant Kulal (28) over some money matter. The verbal dual developed into a violent fight ending in the murder of Prakash by Prashant Kulal. The accused Prashanth stabbed Prakash to death with a knife and there were two stab wounds on the deceased body.

It is said that Prakash was working in a shop in Shivamogga and Prashant a daily wager in Cherkardi surrounding areas. After the incident Prashant is absconding and search is on by the police to trace him. Brahmavar Police visited the spot and are investigating.
