Udupi: The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at KDP Review Meet said that, for the proper distribution of the availed food grains to the needy people, public distribution shops should be kept compulsorily open from 9 am to 6 pm for the first 10 days in a month. He also said that the Food Adalath will be held on the 7th Day of every month.

He also said that the state government spends cores of rupees in schemes like Annabhagya, Kshira Bhagya, and Manaswini and stand for the poor population of the country. He also called upon the officials to work without any stain of corruption. He stressed it is the responsibility of the official to avail the provided benefits to the concern needy, they should work like a bridge between the public and the Government.
where else Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar of BJP said nearly 13,000 ration card holders had their cards suspended because they were not linked to the Aadhaar and EPIC cards and so many other problems, he requested whatever may be the situation, the distribution of the food grain should not be stopped.
Sunil Kumar and Byndoor MLA Gopal Poojary also complained about the poor condition of the newly-constructed Morarji Desai Residential Schools, Mr. Siddaramaiah directed officials to visit the schools in Karkala and Byndoor immediately and take action. He also directed the Deputy Commissioner S.S. Pattanashetty and the CEO of the Zilla Panchayat M. Kanagavalli to pay surprise visits to the post-metric girls’ hostels in the district during nights to get a clear picture of their functioning.
The officials put forward the requirement of additional girl’s hostels in the district.
He also reviewed the programmes of agriculture and horticulture departments. The issue of multi village drinking water scheme was discussed on the occasion.
