Udupi: The police on Wednesday submitted an 800-page long chargesheet in connection with the sensational Bhaskar Shetty murder case where it is reportedly confirmed that the bones recovered in a river by the cops is that of the slain businessman. Earlier, some bones recovered from the Pali River by the CID were confirmed to be that of humans by the forensic reports. The samples were subjected to DNA tests.
Results apparently have come as positive with regard to Bhasker Shetty.
The chargesheet was submitted by CID Superintendent of Police (SP) Martin and CID DySP Chandrashekar.
Earlier renowned advocate M Shantharam Shetty was appointed as special public prosecutor by the state government in connection with this case reported from Udupi, following Shetty’s mother’s appeal to the government.
Hotelier Bhasker Shetty went missing from Udupi a couple of months ago and in a turn of events his wife Rajeshwari Shetty, son Navaneeth Shetty a self-proclaimed astrologer Niranjan Bhat among others were taken into custody on charges of killing Shetty by charring him in a “Homa Kunda’.
